Ralfsia abundant in the fissured rocks, most rocks vertical and shaded. Actinia equina and Monodonta lineata in damp areas and the usual range of littorinids present. Lower reefs in areas of sand scour were dominated by Enteromorpha spp. and Porphyra spp. Shallow pools frequent with typical exposed shore flora of Corallinaceae and filamentous reds.

Both Chthamalus spp. common with C.montagui more prevalent in the upper reaches, giving way to C.stellatus and Semibalanus balanoides by the lower mid eulittoral. Small crevice pools dominated by Coralline algae held Actinia equina, sponges and Patella ulyssiponensis with Urticina felina and Cereus pedunculatus in crevices. Ceramium spp. frequent on mussels and other red algae increasing towards the lower eulittoral.
