Cobbles, pebbles and gravel with occasional boulders on mud and muddy shell gravel. On the rocks hydroids, particularly Halecium muricatum, Hydrallmania falcata and Alcyonidium diaphanum were common. Lots of Cerianthus lloydii and other burrowing anemones were noted and on the rocks small sabellid worms.
