Nature30 boundaries represent the area of land that the applicant has declared they own, manage, or have authority over, and which has been assessed as meeting Nature30 criteria. Nature30 sites are a form of Other Effective area-based Conservation Measure (OECM), and are a non-statutory, bottom-up approach to conserving land to benefit biodiversity. These sites contribute to Scotland's 30 by 30 efforts, to reach 30% of land and sea protected by 2030.
