Summary

This marine geophysical survey took place from 25 May to 9 June 1993 in the North Sea on board the RSS Challenger. The survey was carried out by the British Geological Survey (BGS) as part of the NERC Land-Ocean Evolution Perspective Study (LOEPS) Programme. The principal aim of the survey was to identify offshore location for the LOEPS coring programme using seismic methods. A second aim was to examine Holocene deposits off the Tees and Tyne estuaries. These data are archived by BGS. Sgy files are available for most lines except lines 1-10 which were unreadable from tape. Technical details are contained in BGS Report WB/93/30 Report: Brett, CP. 1993. LOEPS Shallow Seismic Survey Operations Report: Project 93/01.
