Universal Credit 'Opening Up Work' |
The ongoing Universal Credit Opening up work campaign is designed to increase understanding of Universal Credit and how it removes barriers to work and encourages career progression among Universal Credit and Jobseekers Allowance claimants. Specifically:
Universal credit makes sure you are better off in work
no limit to the number of hours you can work to receive Universal Credit
Universal Credit supports part-time and short-term work
you get a work coach to help you
working parents can get up to 85% of their childcare costs
tailored support is available to all claimants
Evidence shows that understanding these key messages has a positive impact on claimant jobseeking behaviours.
