This presents the data from the National Asthma and COPD Audit Programme’s (NACAP) secondary care clinical audit 2017/18. The continuous audit, which captures the process and clinical outcomes of treatment in patients admitted to hospital in England and Wales with COPD exacerbations, launched on 1 February 2017. This is the second report post launch of continuous data collection, which presents the results of the cohort of patients discharged between 14 September 2017 and 30 September 2018.
