Summary

Section 3 of the Wildlife and Countryside (Amendment) Act 1985 requires the National Park Authority (NPA) to prepare a map of any areas of mountain, moor, heath, woodland, down, cliff or foreshore (including any bank, barrier, dune, beach, flat or other land adjacent to the foreshore), whose natural beauty it is, in the opinion of the NPA, particularly important to conserve. Woodland Land supporting a generally continuous woodland canopy but omitting a number of very small features such as overgrown field boundaries, lines of riverside trees and trees in gardens and parkland. This data though was surveyed in 1990
