Summary

This is a biennial survey, undertaken by councils in which carers’ thoughts and opinions were sought on a number of topics that are considered to be indicative of a balanced life alongside their caring role.

Carers completing the survey were all aged 18 or over, caring for someone aged 18 or over in receipt of services funded wholly or in part by Social Services during the survey year. Findings from the survey are used to populate a number of measures in the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework.
