Describes and presents key findings from analysis of the Economic Deprivation Index (EDI) and the Children in Income Deprived households Index (CIDI). The EDI and CIDI track levels of economic deprivation from 1999 to 2009 at Lower-level Super Output Area (LSOA) and Local Authority (LA) level. The EDI and CIDI complement the Indices of Deprivation 2010, as they allow changes over time to be measured on a consistent basis.
