This dataset covers the outcome of reported suspect BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) cases in England by year and number confirmed by other means. This dataset includes the fields: Year (of case); Restricted (number of animals where movement restrictions have been imposed); Alternative diagnosis (number that were given an alternative diagnosis to BSE); Alive (number of suspects alive); Slaughtered (number of animals slaughtered); Pending (number of cases with results pending); Not confirmed (number of suspect cases where BSE was not detected); Confirmed (number of cases where BSE was detected); Others confirmed (number confirmed by other means).
