Two plankton surveys were carried out (RV Cirolana 2x/02: 29th April-12th
May 2002 and RV Corystes 4z/03: 4th-9th May 2003) in the English Channel
and southern North Sea to determine the distribution and abundance of crab
(Cancer pagurus) larvae in relation to fishing ground and sea bed sediments
over the sea area bounded by latitudes 48° 30'N and 53° 00'N and longitudes 9°
00'W and 2° 00'W. This data consists of the numbers and developmental stages
of crab larvae, along with associated positional data and volumes filtered.
