Summary

This dataset contains service-level and national data from Year 7 of the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune (Arthritis) Diseases Audit (NEIAA) State of the Nation report. Covering the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. NEIAA collects clinical and patient-reported care quality data for people with newly diagnosed early inflammatory arthritis (EIA) and related autoimmune rheumatic conditions treated in specialist rheumatology services across England and Wales. The dataset includes key metrics on care quality, such as: Referral, assessment and treatment timeliness (e.g., time from GP referral to specialist assessment and starting disease-modifying antirheumatic drug therapy) Clinical outcomes and response to treatment Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) Variations in care across NHS trusts and regions Benchmark comparisons against national standards. This resource supports comparative analysis, quality improvement initiatives, research, and policy evaluation related to rheumatology care performance against NICE Quality Standard 33 and other clinical benchmarks.
