The release summarises local authority activity in relation to the licensing of activities involving animals. It includes the number of licences in force per activity, as well as the average fees charged by each local authority.
The data found in the spreadsheet has been provided by local authorities as part of an annual data return. Defra has not independently verified the data – some of the figures may include veterinary and VAT costs which will influence the range of figures provided.
