This file contains the digital vector boundaries for NHS England (Region, Local Offices) (NHSRLO), in England, as at 1 April 2017.
Organisation Data Service, part of NHS Digital, received formal
confirmation from NHS England that they wished to update the collective
organisation role/type names for the NHS Region (Geography) areas. The new name for these geography entities are NHS England (Region, Local Office). This is purely a
change to organisation role names. The associated organisation role codes, and the names
and codes of individual organisations of this type, will all remain unchanged.
The boundaries available are:
- Full resolution - extent of the realm (usually this is the Mean Low Water mark but in some cases boundaries extend beyond this to include off shore islands);
- Full resolution - clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water mark);
- Generalised (20m) - clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water mark);
- Super generalised (200m) - clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water mark) and
- Ultra generalised (500m) - clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water mark).
Contains both Ordnance Survey and ONS Intellectual Property Rights.
