Source: Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Publisher: DCLG Floor Targets Interactive Geographies: Local Authority District (LAD), County/Unitary Authority, Government Office Region (GOR), National Geographic coverage: England Time coverage: 2005-2008 Type of data: Administrative data Notes: The number of those claiming incapacity benefits used for this indicator refers to those: claiming Incapacity Benefit , Severe Disablement Allowance or Income Support paid on the grounds of ill health or incapacity (from 2008 these benefits will be replaced for new claimants with Employment and Support Allowance); who were employed immediately prior to claiming incapacity benefits; and living in the local authority area at the time of their claim.
