This statistical first release will provide information on the achievements of eligible pupils in the 2013 phonics screening check and national curriculum assessments at key stage 1. The statistics are produced from data provided to the Department by local authorities in July 2013 and are provisional 2013 data.
Information will also be broken down by different pupil characteristics, specifically: gender, ethnicity, first language, eligibility for free school meals and special educational needs.
