Summary

The data is for the second prospective year of the National Age-related Macular Degeneration Audit corresponding to the 2023 NHS year (01/04/2023 to 31/03/2024). The data was collected as part of routine clinical care on electronic medical record systems in 75 participating centres. Results are for eyes starting treatment for neovascular age-related macular degeneration in the 2023 NHS year, with results for their first year of treatment and at one year after starting treatment. No results are produced for centres with <25 eyes with the relevant data. Results at one year after starting treatment are only produced for centres with at least 25 eyes completing one year of treatment. Comprehensive information regarding the eligibility criteria used in the National Age-related Macular Degeneration Audit can be found on the audit website (www.nodaudit.org.uk). Results are provided for contributing English and Scottish NHS Trusts, Northern Irish Health and Social Care Trusts, Welsh Health Boards, Independent Sector Treatment Centres (ISTC), and one centre from Guernsey. Results for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust include data for patients treated in Croydon Health Services NHS Trust.
