Sites are freehold owned by Rother District Council, with leases in place for majority of sites to local Parish Councils, Associations and Community Interest Groups. Lease duration ranges from 25 years to 99 years. Plots are measured in m sq, with the majority of plots under 25 m sq.
Sites have between 1 and 55 plots. Fees are payable to use the land, with waiting lists in place at some sites.
Majority of land is protected under the Allotments Act - designated for alloment garden use only.
