Summary

This shortened online dataset shows properties that have been issued with a Temporary Exemption Notice (TEN) from the requirement to have a Selective Licence. TENs last for a maximum of 3 months and are issued when a property is going through a process that takes the property out of selective licensing requirements. In exceptional circumstances, a second TEN may be served for a further period of up to 3 months. Please note: This dataset is not the full information contained in the public register of Temporary Exemption Notices. Should you wish to view or receive a copy of the complete register please email us: eswselective.licensing@leeds.gov.uk. You can view the public register for free however there is a charge of £107.30 to obtain a full copy of the register. It is an offence for a person to have control of or manage a licensable property without a licence or without having made an application for a licence or temporary exemption. If you are a managing agent, should you engage in any business activity with an unlicensed property you may be committing an offence and could potentially face formal legal action consisting of either a prosecution or civil penalty. Contact us: If you have any queries in relation to a property which has been issued with a TEN or which you feel should be licensed, please contact the Selective Licensing Team on 0113 535 1369 or email: eswselective.licensing@leeds.gov.uk. Please also see our dataset of Selective Licences.
