This dataset shows the location of the Conservation Areas within the Redcar and Cleveland Planning authority boundary. Conservation areas are areas of special architectural or historic interest, the character and appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance. The Redcar and Cleveland conservation policies are set out in the adopted Core Strategy and Development Policies Development Plan Documents (DPDs) of the Redcar & Cleveland Local Development Framework (LDF) together with saved policies of the adopted Local Plan (1999).
