Defined Section 3 – Mountain, Moor and Heath areas in Brecon Beacons National Park. Section 3 of the Wildlife and Countryside (Amendment) Act 1985 placed a responsibility on each of the National Parks of England and Wales to prepare a map showing those areas of mountain, moor, heath, woodland, down, cliff or foreshore, the natural beauty of which the Authority considers it is particularly important to conserve.
