Summary

Special Landscape Areas (SLAs) are a non-statutory designation applied by a local authority to define areas of high landscape importance within their administrative boundary. This data resource is a collation of local authority derived SLAs and is intended to help users identify whether a location of interest is in an SLA (or not), the boundaries and extent of an SLA and the SLA reference or name to help sourcing the additional information and relevant policies. It is correct as of April 2022.
