One replicate was taken at each of 20 subtidal sites on the Stour Estuary. The survey was undertaken in April 1989. A 0.1 square meter Day-grab was used to take the samples which were sieved on board using a 500 micron sieve. Sub samples were taken for sediment analysis, but the results from this are not available.
