This product is part of the set of Small Area Population Estimates (SAPE). It includes estimates of the usually resident population as at 30 June of the reference year for Lower and Middle Layer Super Output Areas (SOAs) in England and Wales by age and sex, revised in line with the results of the 2011 Census. They are consistent with the revised Census based local authority and national estimates and reflect the new SOA boundaries introduced for the publication of the 2011 Census results.
