This dataset contains video recordings of captive red deer Cervus elaphus, to study sleep behaviour. Videos were recorded using two speed dome IP cameras. This data was collected continuously from 18 adult individuals; 13 male, 5 female, in 2023 (13/06/23 - 1/8/23; 04/09/23 - 08/11/23; 13/11/23 - 21/11/23). Deer were housed at the VUZV facility, Uhrineves, Prague, Czech Republic. This dataset was funded by NERC, as part of project "NE/X010368/1: Sleep in the landscape of fear" to pair with biologging collar data. Note: to download individual files, right click on the file name and select 'save as' or 'save link as'. The list of files is accessed via the Download button. Clicking on a file will cause it open in the browser rather than downloading it to a local drive. This is caused by an issue to do with the file type and our developers are currently working on a fix for this.
