Summary

The appeals against exclusions independent review survey is a statutory annual collection of information from local authorities on the number of independent reviews and their outcome as part of a continuing review of exclusion policies and practice. Local authorities collect the data from all maintained primary, secondary and special schools as well as Pupil Referral Units and academies. The latest data available is for 2011 and 2012 academic year and is updated annually. Reports are available going back to 2008 and 2009 academic year.
